Saulius's bio

I am the prinicipal of The Mikalonis Law Firm, PLLC, doing business as The New Ecology Law Center.  I am an environmental attorney with over 20 years experience.  Prior to attending law school, I worked with the Solar Lobby/Center for Renewable Resources in Washington, DC.  In addition to practicing law, I am also a Board Member, Secretary and Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee of the Detroit Regional Chapter of the United States Green Building Council.  I am also the Vice-chair for Sustainable Development of the American Bar Association Section on Environment, Energy and Resources Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Ecosystems Committee.  I have an environmental law blog on MLive.com at http://blog.mlive.com/green-blawg/  I've also done a weekly radio show on environmental issues called "New Ecology Law at Detroit's WJR 760-AM, which is available in podcast and can be heard here: http://wjr.com/goout.asp?u=http://www.greeningofthegreatlakes.com

I am a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Oregon School of Law with a Statement of Completion of its Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program.  I have a long-standing interest in environmental issues.
