Reuben's bio

Reuben co-owns Ellis Farms, a wholesale nursery with growing areas in San Diego and Riverside Counties. He has worked in various capacities for the family business for three decades while also pursuing a career as a college professor, author, and consultant. He began working full time with Ellis Farms in 2006. Reuben's background includes organic farming, wilderness preservation, and sustainability studies. His current passion is exploring new ways that growers can contribute to the green infrastructure by providing quality plant material. His most beloved pastimes include mountain biking, reading, writing, learning new things, and spending time with his family.
