Magdalena's bio

I have operated my own environmental education preschool and after school classes for over 20 years here in Palo Alto. It is a school year program and I have 32 enrolled students each year. I take the kids out in the field every day they are with me to learn about the natural environment in a very experiential way, fostering in them an on-going sense of wonder and a core value of respectful stewardship. I am passionate about environmental education as I believe that educating children and their parents is the best way to help people begin to live more lightly on the planet. Education fosters knowledge and awareness which can then be followed with eco-action.
