Ann's bio

Dr Ann Haiden is a holistic internal medicine physician in Marin County and the Silicon Valley.  She practices "functional medicine", which is a philosophy that strives to take the entire ecosystem of the internal and external environment of a person into account to get to the root of problems and attain optimum health.

She is also the founder of Sustainable Wellness Media, LLC, which promotes wellness and environmental health education and awareness via multiple media methods, networking and speaking.

Ann's interest in the complex ecology of health, environmental impacts and epigentics is a direct consequence of her own search for answers when faced with two episodes of breast cancer, chronic fatigue, environmental and chemical sensitivity, neurologic and intestinal problems.  She is now an evangelist for a new understanding of wellness and the importance of healthy environments.

Dr Haiden has testified before the California Senate on behalf of legislation to ensure disclosure of pesticide ingredients.  She has also authored a paper on the potential health hazards of overhead pesticide spraying in the San Francisco Bay Area.
