Scott serves on the Board of Directors of Architecture for Humanity, and works for Sun Microsystems as Chief Architect for Western U.S. Sales.  Scott has served as Sun's technical liaison to the TED community.  Scott's career has spanned several leadership positions with companies helping to shape business and society on the Internet including 4charity.com, Live365, Cybersource, and NeXT.

I grew up hunting, trapping and fishing in rural North Dakota and once spent a year living with the Ashante in the rainforest of Ghana.  I've traveled extensively in the tropics and have lived in Mexico, Costa Rica (current) and Cuba.  In 1990 started the Texas Rainforest Action Group and took on numerous oil companies that were destroying the rainforests.  In 1992 I started Earth Foundation and built it into a network of over 10,000 schools that use a curriculum I wrote on rainforests.  EF has raised over $10 Million to date for The Nature Conservancy's adopt-an-acre program.  I now live in Costa Rica where I have planted 25,000+ trees in a region that abuts the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.  In 2007-08, I helped to conceptualize and build a research center for Texas A&M University.  Currently I am building a permaculture community and finishing a book on Cuba. 

At age five (5) I was interested in MAGIC as a hobby.

Throughout highschool I worked as an entertainer performing at hospitals, churches, private partys etc.

This eveloved into Corporate Events, and then into Event Marketing, where I am now.
