For our third EcoTuesday event we proudly feature local social entrepreneur and eco-innovator Chris Clark of Sunflower Solutions.  This innovative company features easy-to-use, manually adjustable solar panels that track the sun over time to maximize energy collection.  The company has recently been praised by Governor Strickland and was the latest recipient of a $30,000 grant from the Civic Innovation Lab.

A self-professed 'solar empowerer', Chris has an important and inspirational story to tell and his invention is already making a difference in Africa. The technology is particularly important for developing countries like Kenya and Nigeria where homes are often powered with generators using dirty fuels like gasoline.  Local applications of this technology have gotten significant interest as well. Chris and Sunflower Solutions were prominently featured in a recent Plain Dealer article touting this rising star and potent alternative energy opportunity.
