We are very priviledged to have Joel Makower speak at EcoTuesday this month. It's a great way to celebrate our three-year anniversary!

Joel Makower is the Chairman and Co-founder of Greener World Media and the Executive Editor of GreenBiz.com and the author of "Strategies for the Green Economy". This month, Greener World Media published "The State of Green Business 2010", an in-depth report which measured the environmental impacts of the emerging green economy.

I recently attended a conference called The State of Green Business Forum, produced by Greener World Media. It was a full day of cutting edge panels, with presenters who clearly explained their areas of expertise (and fielded some very challenging questions from the audience). I highly suggest that you attend this conference in 2011.

For more than 20 years, Joel Makower has been a well-respected voice on business, the environment, and the bottom line. As a writer, speaker, and strategist on corporate environmental practices, clean technology, and green marketing, he has helped a wide range of companies align environmental responsibility with business success.

GreenBiz.com has a handful of sister sites, including ClimateBiz.com, GreenerBuildings.com, GreenerDesign.com, and GreenerComputing.com. Joel is also the principal author of the annual State of Green Business report and the Greener by Design conference, both produced by Greener World Media.

Joel also serves as a senior strategist at GreenOrder, a sustainability consultancy, as well as co-founder and principal of Clean Edge Inc., a research and publishing firm focusing on building markets for clean energy technologies. From 1991 to 2005, Joel was editor and publisher of The Green Business Letter, an award-winning monthly newsletter he founded on corporate environmental strategy. In 2005, he was appointed a Batten Fellow at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Please join us on Tuesday, February 23rd at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Register online before (it's free) or it's $10 at the door. See you there!
